Dr. Kashfia Ahmed
CEO & Founder
Kashfia is CEO and founder of ‘Bondhu Foods Limited (BFL)’, carrying more than fifteen years of exclusive experience in the Agricultural sector. After completing honors and masters from ‘Bangladesh Agricultural University’ (BAU), Kashfia achieved the Japan Govt Schorlarship (Monbusho) and earned her doctoral degree from ‘Tokyo University of Science and Technology’ in 2003 and post-doctoral degree in 2005 from JIRCAS (Japan International Research Centre for Agricultural Science). She started her career as the Scientific Officer in Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI) where she served till 1998. After returning back from Japan, Dr. Kashfia worked as ‘Rural ICT Consultant’ in SwissContact/Katalyst and introduced ICT based Agricultural information dissemination system in Bangladesh. She founded Win Incorporate, an initiative to develop information and advisory services for Agriculture related entities. She chaired WinMiaki Ltd, a joint venture initiative that empowered farmers through access to information via ICT channels. Under her leadership, the ever first mobile based agro information service has been launched in Bangladesh that won ‘Manthan Award South Asia’ and ‘National e-Content and ICT for Development Award’. She contributed in various global ICT based Agro initiatives in and outside the country. She serves as an EC member of WEND (Women Entrepreneurs Network for Development Association) an association of women entrepreneurs, General Body member of KGF (Krishi Gobeshona Foundation) and EC member of JUAAB (Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh). Dr. Kashfia won the ‘Anannya Top Ten Award’ in 2013, the prize for women in Bangladesh for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields. Kashfia is a person who thinks out of the box and has the customer in her focus, always trying to find solutions for challenges. She never gives up her goal of becoming the changemaker.
Farzana Chowdhury
Director & Head of Quality Control
Farzana believes in perfectionism. With her strong observation skill, she monitors the quality aspects of incoming raw materials and the products that are ready to be shipped. She is inspecting and tests products and production processes and ensures that all quality procedures meet national and international standards. She is capable of delivering premium quality BONDHU products right to customers’ doorstep. Farzana also works on gender perspectives in all aspects of the work of BONDHU. After completing a master’s degree from the University of Dhaka in Social Science she accomplished a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and received a license from the Bangladesh Bar Council. Despite being a lawyer, Farzana had her own dreams of having her own brands.
Erfana Kabir
Director & Head of Sales and Marketing
Erfana started her carrier in the management system ground under a multinational certification & inspection body as a marketing & administrative personnel. After 07 years of her carrier growth, she became the operation in charge & director of another multinational certification & inspection body based in the UK. Throughout her whole job carrier the challenge was to establish an international management system in place with the trade bodies in Bangladesh. Gradually she got the opportunity to be selected as the AGS (Assistant General Secretary) of the constitutionally recognized Association of Bangladesh Certification Bodies.
Mohammad Saiful Islam
Head of IT
Mohammad Saiful Islam is extremely dedicated to result-oriented projects/programs, driven by creative ideation and challenging complexities. He has vast experience in incorporating ICT tools in Agro-related services. He is experienced in working/collaborating with various national and international forums. After completing graduation, Mr. Saiful started his journey with a multinational organization as the Head of Technical with the responsibility of blending ICT tools to disseminate agriculture information to the end users. As a head of technology, Saiful’s responsibilities include overseeing the infrastructure of technical operations, managing a team of IT employees, tracking technology in order to achieve business goals, minimizing security risks, and Increasing user satisfaction.
Md. Adnan Sani
Junior Accounts and Finance Officer
Adnan is the Junior Accounts and Finance Officer at Bondhu Foods Limited (BFL) joined as a fresher’s where he managed all accounts and finance departments from start to finish (including bank transactions and managed clients about their different financing options, preparation of challan and prepare various kind of financial statement) and also leads the marketing departments of BFL (including products buying and selling, managing existing customers portfolio, setting up meeting with potential clients, visiting customers on a regular basis to increase sales and maintain professional liaisons, ensuring ethical business relations with customers within teams, preparing daily and monthly report as per the company requirement). Adnan has worked with reputable brands like GREY and managed some events as a volunteer and also awarded 2nd prize of Iconic Perspective in the university competition and amongst others. Adnan always confident to do his work and a challenge taker person. He is a bargain shopper and motorcycle lover from Old Dhaka.
Md Hamidul Islam
Junior IT Officer
Md Hamidul Islam is the Junior IT Officer at Bondhu Foods Limited (BFL) joined as a fresher where he managed all IT activities of Bondhu Foods Limited (BFL). He completed a BSc degree from Daffodil International University in Computer Science Engineering. Then he completed a Web Development course. He is both a web developer and a Java programmer. He is hardworking, intelligent, and a customer and community-focused Information Officer. He is a practical individual who enjoys working within a team and can also work very well without supervision. He likes to play football. He is a cat lover.
